A well know Surf board firm from my hometown started a competition in order to encourage university students to develop innovative products for them. After spending a few hour doing field research at the local surfing beach I realized how surfers would leave their personal belongings hidden anywhere. Additionally most of the surfers would leave their phones at home. Surf can be a dangerous activity, specially when the weather is bad. Having a phone with you could mean that assistance for someone in danger arrives on time. Based on this, it was concluded that a wearable that would protect their personal belongings would be rather beneficial for the surfing community.
Surf & Go is vest has a compartment that is waterproof and allows for safe storage.
The vest has no sleeves so that it allows free movement of the arms. A Velcro strip in the front allows for quick removal.
The vest is attached over the neoprene wetsuit. The compartment is located in the back of the vest, so that the objects stored in there are not a nuisance when lying on the board.
Personal belongings are safely stored in a waterproof bag located in the rear compartment.
